On Thursday, July 16, 2009, the Portland Charter Commission will hold the first of several public hearings to be held over the next year.


This first hearing is designed to hear from the public on what problems should be solved and issues be considered by the Charter Commission in its review of the City’s Charter, as well as to receive general comments on the Commission’s functions.


The hearing will be in Portland City Council Chambers, 389 Congress Street, Portland, ME, beginning at 6 p.m.
