ReIgnite!

This WEDNESDAY from 6:30 to 8pm the League of Young Voters/ League of Young Voters PAC is hosting its monthly ReIgnite: Still Pissed Off After All These Years meeting. This meeting is going to be a blast because it's the first one at our new office in the State Theater Building!

Our topic this week: the League's 2010 Primary endorsement announcements and the Legal Resident Voting Campaign here in Portland. There's a lot at stake on June 8th--PRIMARY DAY. Republicans and Democrats will be voting on their parties' nomination for the November Gubernatorial election. There are a bunch of contested state rep races. AND on Primary Day the League will be collecting signatures at the polls for our Legal Resident Voting petition--we want Portlanders to vote to let all legal immigrants have a voice in local elections. Wednesday, we'll update you on the campaign and fill you in on how you can help.

What: ReIgnite, the League's monthly meeting to make Portland a better, more just, and more sustainable place to live.

When: This WEDNESDAY, May 12, from 6:30 to 8 pm (pizza/drinks will be provided)

Where: The League's NEW OFFICE, the State Theater Building, 142 High Street, Suite 302. The quickest way to enter the League's office is through the Congress Street doors, near Norm's (across the street from Mesa Verde).

Why? Because you love Portland and want to make it even better! Because you're curious to see our new office. Because you want to enjoy a few slices of pizza with friends, old and new. Because you want to hear an update on Project Vote and the League's Primary endorsements.

See you soon!

Rock on,
The League
